My name is Douae, I am a Moroccan young professional living in Italy, where I completed my European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering project. I graduated from a BTS program, about tourism management and over the past years I have been actively involved in youth work, non-formal education, and international projects.
I enjoy very much working in multicultural environments, creating activities, facilitating discussions, and connecting with people from different backgrounds different cultures… I’m also interested in learning different languages and learning about new cultures and making international friendships and relations.
I decided to participate in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program because I am genuinely curious and motivated to learn how projects and organizations are built and managed in real life. My experience in ESC and Erasmus+ projects introduced me to this opportunity, and it felt like a natural next step for my personal and professional journey. I also want to gain international experience in a more practical and entrepreneurial environment, while discovering new ways of working and thinking. I believe this experience can contribute a lot to my growth. On a professional level, I want to develop new skills, especially in project management, digital tools, and communication. I want to understand how to turn ideas into concrete initiatives and learn from experienced entrepreneurs. On a personal level, I know this experience will continue to push me out of my comfort zone, help me grow in confidence, adaptability, and independence, and allow me to better understand myself and my goals.
In the future, I would like to create my own initiatives, possibly an NGO or projects related to youth, education, and community development in my home country. I see this experience as an important step to gain the knowledge, inspiration, and network needed to make that vision a reality.
I am also particularly motivated by the opportunity to work closely with professionals in a real organizational context, where I can observe daily operations and actively contribute to ongoing projects. I believe that learning by doing, especially in an international setting, is the most effective way for me to grow both personally and professionally. I am open-minded, proactive, and ready to take initiative whenever possible.
This experience will not only help me strengthen my current skills but also guide me in shaping my long-term career path in the field of youth empowerment and international cooperation.
