My name is Ionut Cristian Cernea and I am an entrepreneur from Romania. Over the years, I have focused my professional activity and passions on the digital and commercial sectors, specifically offering professional services in website design and search engine optimization (SEO), both at local and national levels. Alongside my tech and digital marketing background, I run a retail business focused on traditional and agricultural goods, managing products such as olive oil, honey, olives, and wine. I consider myself a dynamic and continuous learner, always looking to combine my digital expertise with the physical retail market to modernize business structures and adapt them to current economic trends.
I decided to participate in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) program primarily out of a strong desire to expand my business horizons and diversify my commercial activities. Living in a globalized market, I realized that understanding international logistics, sourcing, and regional business models is crucial for growth. My decision was heavily influenced by the opportunity to learn directly from an experienced entrepreneur abroad, which is a unique hands-on alternative to traditional business courses. Additionally, wanting to experience the business culture of Greece from the inside,a country world-renowned for its quality agricultural products was a major driving factor.
I strongly believe that this 6 month experience will significantly contribute to both my human and professional growth. Professionally, working alongside my Host Entrepreneur, Mr. Stelios Chrisostomakis, in Ouranoupoli allows me to understand the entire supply chain, staff management, and operations of a business operating in a highly touristic and international environment. It provides me with practical insights into how to successfully scale and modernize a traditional trade model using my IT and SEO skills. On a human level, immersing myself in a new cultural and commercial setting challenges my adaptability, enhances my crosscultural communication, and broadens my entrepreneurial mindset. This exchange is giving me the confidence and international network necessary to successfully modernize and expand my businesses back home in Romania.
