My name is Blanca Pillado López, and I am an enterprising and creative young entrepreneur from Vigo, Spain. I was born on December 15, 2003, and although I’m just at the beginning of my professional journey, I am deeply passionate about entrepreneurship, digital design, and contributing to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in this competitive digital context.
I am the founder of Nube Viva, a web design agency focused on developing customized and affordable digital solutions for SMEs. My goal is to empower local businesses by giving them high-quality websites and e-commerce platforms that speak to their values and help them connect more effectively with their audiences. Although Nube Viva is still in its infancy, I am determined to make it a company recognized for its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.
Beyond professional aspirations, personally, I am committed to teamwork, resilient, and disciplined, nurtured by my hobbies. I practice synchronized swimming and Olympic rowing, two very demanding sports that brought precision, coordination, and perseverance into my life. These experiences shaped my mind and prepared me to face challenges with determination and a positive attitude.
The sectors that captured my big interest are: digital design, e-commerce development, and digital marketing. I am particularly fond of helping a business build online, because with such, I easily feel that only through digital access, one can expect the growth and innovation of local and global economies.
Why I decided to participate in EYE
I chose the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs because such a program represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire hands-on experience, learn from accomplished entrepreneurs, and be part of a new cultural and professional environment. The motive behind this decision is threefold: curiosity, ambition, and self-challenging in order to accelerate my personal and professional growth.
What excites me most about the program is the potential for mentorship and training. I firmly believe that working closely with an experienced entrepreneur will provide me with great insights into how to manage and scale a business effectively. Additionally, a colleague who participated in EYE shared his transformation in career building as a result of the program, and his recommendation motivated me to take this leap myself.
The other major reason I participate is for the chance to get to know the European market. By better understanding the needs, trends, and opportunities of the digital industry in Europe, I want to position Nube Viva as a modern company able to support SMEs at an international level.
How this experience can contribute to my growth
I believe this program will be a milestone in my professional development into a more complete entrepreneur and leader. At the business level, I hope to take away hands-on knowledge with regard to strategic planning, customer acquisition, and service development. By observing and working with an experienced entrepreneur, I will learn the best practices that I can apply in the development and scaling-up of Nube Viva.
This will also be a great opportunity to establish an international network of professionals with similar interests and potential collaborators. I hope to learn how to adapt to a diversified business environment in order to create innovative solutions that can meet the changing needs of SMEs in various markets.
On a personal level, living and working abroad will continue to push me out of my comfort zone, while further developing my adaptability, cultural awareness, and resiliency. These qualities have been crucial in helping me successfully lead through the complexities of entrepreneurship and a values-based company.
This program ultimately will provide me with the necessary knowledge, expertise, and confidence to convert Nube Viva into a trustworthy partner for small and medium-scale enterprises. Thus, I will aim at developing valuable digital solutions using technical expertise along with a human-centered approach to help the businesses succeed through their participation in the global economic cycle.
