My name is Bianca and I have a bachelor’s degree in textile management focused on fashion and retail. I have during my studies taken every opportunity to broaden my perspective of the industry, for instance by studying in Denmark, this was an exchange course of fashion film and transmedia that lasted 4 months. The education in Denmark gave me deeper knowledge of the marketing industry in fashion, furthermore hands-on experience to collaborate and create marketing content for the fashion designer Nikolaj Storm. I took advantage of covid 19 and distance studies so that I could complete a 5 months internship with Rave Review full time. This permitted me to move to Stockholm and fulfill this nutritious experience. During the years at Swedish school of textiles I participated in every networking event and lecture there was, which also added important contacts and further deeper knowledge, specially in the lectures regarding sustainability and marketing.
My personal network in the field is developed but the opportunity to stay with the host company would broaden my network and knowledge of working within the textile sector even more, and learn more about the market in Italy and how the company (Lottozero) works as a consultancy studio in collaboration with fashion and architect actors. I participated in EYE because I wanted to challenge myself and develop deeper skills within entrepreneurship. I found a great opportunity to complete this experience with my desire of living in Italy. Furthermore I wanted to learn more about the world famous textile industry of Italy and also how the textile business is shaped in another country.
I think this experience is crucial for me to understand how I can improve my business plan and see every aspect of a textile company. It’s also good for me to use this time here to understand what modifications might be needed in order to be more adapted with my idea in the right place at the right time. I am as well excited to create new contacts and connections with important stakeholders and professionals in the industry. I am very grateful for this opportunity to grow on a professional as well as a personal level by stepping out of my comfort zone and taking my knowledge of Italian language one step further.
