My name is Aleksandra, I am from Poland and since I remember I have always wanted to travel a lot. For me travelling is a quite deep experience. I don’t travel to buy souvenirs and visit the most popular attractions only. I am curious more about people, languages and unique places that every country offers.
I graduated from high school over a year ago and I was trying to figure out what I want to do in my life. While all my friends started studying medicine I was trying different things to get to know myself better. I learnt Spanish from zero to B1 level, went to Barcelona for a summer design university, met inspiring people from all over the world and… worked, to have money for that.
When I found Erasmus for Young Enrepreneurs program I immediately knew that it is an opportunity for me. I have always wanted to move abroad and the idea to collaborate with an experienced entrepreneur seemed like a good chance to put the knowledge that I acquired at design courses into practice.

That is how I found myself in Italy. It has been almost a month since I have been here. From the very first day my collaboration with the creative studio that hosts me is very intensive. Everything is new – culture, language, workflow and tasks as well, but that is exactly what I was looking for. My host entrepreneur is very supportive, I got a lot of help from him during my first days in Italy.
I have already learnt a lot about the design process, and I am still learning. I have an opportunity to work with different divisions of my studio which really develops my professional skills. I learnt a lot about differences in workflow between Poland and Italy. Also I am learning a lot about life in Italy. A lot of things work differently than in Poland. I am learning Italian, during the weekends I travel to different cities and of course I enjoy Italian cuisine.
I have already met very inspiring people and a lot of things are waiting for me to do here. I think this program will not only develop my professional skills but also teach me a lot about myself. I am really curious to see how this exchange will go.
