My name is Antonio Laino, an Italian economics graduate with a strong passion for corporate finance, financial analysis, data-driven business strategy, and international project management. Having completed my Bachelor’s degree in Economics, my academic and early professional path has focused on understanding global financial markets, continuous-time modeling, group accounting standards (such as IFRS), and how quantitative tools like Python can be applied to solve complex economic and corporate challenges. Beyond corporate finance, transaction services, and quantitative modeling, I am deeply fascinated by international business expansion, cross-border mobility, and educational management initiatives that drive long-term value.
I decided to participate in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) program out of a combination of strong entrepreneurial ambition, curiosity, and the desire to gain meaningful international exposure in a dynamic European market. After years of rigorous academic study, I felt the compelling need to bridge the gap between theoretical economic models and real-world commercial execution. I wanted to observe firsthand how an established international business operates on a daily basis, how strategic decisions are taken under market conditions, and how new growth opportunities are identified and captured.
Living and working in Malta a vibrant European business hub specializing in international mobility, vocational education, and training offered the ideal ecosystem to test my business ideas while working directly alongside an experienced host entrepreneur. This experience has significantly accelerated both my human and professional growth. Professionally, collaborating directly with Anthony Briffa at Training Opportunities in Malta provided actionable skills in stakeholder relations, digital marketing, service design for Erasmus+ frameworks (KA120, KA121, KA122), and structured business plan refinement. It also laid the foundation for a lasting international partnership between Italy and Malta, creating new business synergies for the future.
On a personal level, living and working in a multicultural environment enhanced my adaptability, cross-cultural communication, self-reliance, and problem-solving abilities, preparing me to approach future professional challenges with a truly global perspective.
