The first part of my stay abroad has been a truly rewarding experience. At the beginning, I was excited to start this new chapter—not just because of the opportunity itself, but also because I was eager to see how this working environment would feel, how I would adapt, and what I could contribute. As time passed, that initial excitement turned into growing confidence and a stronger sense of purpose.

Adjusting to the office rhythm was smooth. The work environment is friendly, and everyone is open and collaborative. I’ve been enjoying contributing to the output of the office with my technical skills—particularly in 3D modeling, CAD design, and project layout—while also learning how the team approaches design and development. The exchange of ideas with the principal and my colleagues has been one of the most enriching aspects of the experience.
My host entrepreneur is a collaborative leader who assigns tasks clearly and manages projects with structure while encouraging autonomy. I’ve gained valuable insights from them, especially regarding project financing, the realities of landscape architecture, urban design competitions, and the broader Italian architecture scene.

My colleagues have also played a big role in shaping this experience. They are supportive, open to exchanging ideas, and work independently while offering help when needed. This created a balanced and motivating atmosphere, where learning happens naturally through both teamwork and individual responsibility.

So far, I’ve been involved in several projects—urban design competitions, landscape interventions around lakes, and the development of existing and new building additions. These projects have allowed me to expand my skills and take part in meaningful work. I’ve learned how to better prioritize, manage time efficiently, and stay focused on what’s most important in a fast-paced environment.

While there haven’t been any major setbacks, I’ve appreciated the opportunity to work on complex projects that challenge my creativity and technical abilities. These moments have helped me deepen my knowledge and refine my problem-solving approach.

Looking ahead, I want to continue building on the independence and confidence I’ve gained. This experience has given me a clearer view of how to structure future projects and a better understanding of what makes a professional profile relevant in today’s job market. It also helped me secure a job, which makes me even more motivated.

Now, I feel satisfied with the progress made so far. The program has fully met my expectations and strengthened my passion for the field. I’m looking forward to ending this experience with confidence, curiosity, and a growing sense of direction.
