I am 27 years old and I come from Italy. I have always wanted to live and work in Paris while developing my professional career. I discovered the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) programme through a friend who had taken part in it in another European country. I immediately saw it as a great opportunity to develop my business idea and gain international experience.
When I found Maïna’s profile on the EYE platform, I felt we could work well together because of our shared creative vision. My business idea is to create a creative studio offering curated music playlists for boutiques, galleries, cafés, and restaurants, combined with floral arrangements designed to reflect each space’s identity and atmosphere.
Through the project, I hoped to strengthen my entrepreneurial skills, expand my professional network, and receive guidance from an experienced entrepreneur.
During my EYE stay, I supported the creative studio in a variety of activities. I assisted with preparing project presentations for clients, managed social media content, and contributed to branding, rebranding, and communication projects. I worked as an assistant to the Creative Director, supporting both creative development and project coordination.
My relationship with my Host was excellent. I found her to be highly professional, supportive, and knowledgeable, everything I had hoped for in a mentor. Throughout the programme, she was always available to share her experience and provide valuable guidance. Today, I consider her not only a colleague but also someone I will continue to turn to for advice and professional support in the future.
This experience helped me develop valuable skills that will be essential for my future business. I improved my ability to communicate with clients, learning how to adapt my language to different situations and better understand their needs. I also became more confident in managing deadlines and organising my work more efficiently.
In addition, I significantly expanded my professional network by meeting clients and creative professionals.
One of the most rewarding outcomes was the opportunity to test my business concept during a floral workshop, where I combined floral design with my creative approach. The workshop received very positive feedback, confirming the potential of my idea. I will attach photos as supporting material.
This experience gave me the opportunity to turn an idea into a concrete project, grow both personally and professionally, and build a lasting relationship with an inspiring mentor. It has been a valuable experience that will continue to influence my future entrepreneurial journey.
