The first half of my exchange has been both exciting and challenging. Living and working abroad, and in such a dynamic context, has pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best possible way. Every week brings something new to learn.
At the host company, I’ve been actively involved in strategy and branding projects, where I can really express my creativity and strategic thinking. It feels rewarding to see that my ideas can make an impact, can attract people to their daily events. At the same time, I’m receiving very useful feedback that helps me refine my skills and the vision for my own business. I’ve had the chance to participate in brainstorming sessions with the team, to contribute to campaigns with my graphic and branding skills, and to analyze how strategic choices influence brand perception. What I enjoy most is the collaborative spirit of the company and the way they let my voice in.
The pace has been quite intense: in New York, deadlines come fast, and things move very quickly. It’s not always easy, but it’s exactly this pressure that I was looking for, and that’s helping me grow. I’m learning how to better prioritize tasks and communicate effectively across different cultures and working styles.
I feel that the objectives of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program are being met by giving me the practical knowledge and the mindset I need to take my entrepreneurial journey further, encouraging me to think bigger and to take initiative.
For the second half of my stay, I’d like to deepen this exchange, to take more initiative, and to explore new ways to bring value to the team. I hope to get even more involved in strategic decision-making processes and to test some of my own ideas with the guidance of my host entrepreneur, Sam. It will allow me to translate what I’m learning into real entrepreneurial action.
Overall, I’m grateful for how much I’ve grown already and for this amazing opportunity. It’s inspiring to see how much can happen in just a few months when you’re surrounded by the right people and the right challenges.
