My experience during the first half of my stay abroad has been extremely positive. I’ve felt fully integrated into the coworking space and have been given the opportunity to contribute in many meaningful ways. Over the course of the week, I’ve organized several events for the coworkers, all of which have been very well-attended. These events have significantly helped build a strong sense of community within the coworking space. It has been wonderful to see people from various backgrounds coming together, exchanging ideas, and supporting each other in their professional endeavors. The coworking space itself is running very successfully, with high demand and usually fully booked.
In addition to organizing events, I’ve taken on several creative marketing tasks that have allowed me to engage with a wider audience. One of the most exciting projects has been a collaboration with a local influencer who has a large and engaged community of digital nomads, remote workers, and entrepreneurs. This collaboration has proven to be incredibly effective in raising awareness of our coworking space. The influencer’s reach has helped us promote our space to a broader audience, and we’ve already seen several new members join us as a result of her efforts. Through her channels, she has shared our services, our events, and the benefits of working from our coworking space, all of which have drawn positive attention and new leads.
Additionally, we at Talleres Palermo have designed and produced a line of t-shirts, inspired by a trend we’ve seen in many Spanish cities. In these cities, visitors often buy t-shirts or other merchandise from their favorite bars or local spots to remember their experience. We decided to bring this trend to our coworking space and created our own unique t-shirts. These t-shirts are being sold and raffled off, and the response has been fantastic. It has been a great way to engage with our community, increase brand visibility, and create a sense of belonging among our coworkers. People are excited about the designs, and we’ve received a lot of positive feedback from both the community and new visitors who are drawn to the idea of having a piece of our coworking space’s unique culture.

Another aspect I really appreciate is the freedom and trust I’ve been given in my role. I’ve had the flexibility to explore new ideas, take initiatives, and work on projects I’m passionate about. However, at times, I do wish I had more guidance or someone to check in with regularly, just to ensure that my decision-making aligns with the broader goals of the team. Having a bit more structure or feedback in certain areas would be helpful for my professional development and would provide me with more support as I work on various projects.
Overall, I believe the objectives of the program are being met. I’ve gained valuable insights into community building, creative marketing, and effective business development strategies. My work with the influencer, the t-shirt campaign, and the successful event organization has given me hands-on experience that I can apply to my own future venture. I feel that I am learning a lot and am excited for the second half of my exchange. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to continue growing both personally and professionally, and I am confident that the experiences gained so far will have a lasting impact on my future business endeavors.
