In these two important weeks I have learned a lot and made many new things.
The date of our event has been confirmed. It will be on 18th April.
For this reason, there is a lot of tension in the office. It’s the first important event that my company has decided to realize to promote itself. Many things to prepare, organize, order, think and set up.
Basically, we are preparing an evening in celebration of fashion craftmanship & bespoke in a marvelous and elegant location, a Belgian ‘Maison-de-maitre’, that offers a unique atmosphere for every business meetings & events. We have invited consumers and professionals to present them our products and suppliers. We will host our very special guest supplier, an Italian shoemaker who will come in Brussels and will show us his exclusive shoes. During the event he will tell everyone all about what makes a bespoke shoe of the highest quality so special, as well as giving our guests some tips regarding style, materials, fitting and much more. There will be also workshops and presentation about every supplier.

In early April we have visited the location to control everything and have a look around. Then we have created and ordered flags, roll-up banner, business cards etc. and acquired presentation sets from our suppliers.
Initially we thought about using iron or wood structures to present better our products like shoes, fabrics etc., so I looked for models and examples. I drew also sketches with measurements and sent them to companies which make this sort of stuff, but finally we have decided to use the furniture of the location.
It needed also create an online page for the event on the website and advertise it on the social network like Facebook and Instagram. Then, we split up the duties between me and the other Italian intern. My task dealt with the online page. With a little help from our external co-worker, creator of our website, I realized for the first time a new online page. In this way I learned a lot about WordPress and now I know how to edit, add and create pages on website. Very interesting. I love this sort of tasks.
I learned also a lot about orders and invoices. We have received a lot of orders of fabrics and I could do my best to help my co-workers.
Probably during the event I will get involved in receiving the guests both consumers and professionals and explain them whatever info about on made to measure shirts, prices, etc.
I am a little anxious because I don’t feel able to do this.
In this sort of situation, I become shy… Anyway, I hope it will be good.
