Hello everyone!!
Time goes by so quickly, you know, and then here we are. This is my last report about this amazing experience in Casanova + Hernandez Architects.
Deliveries are done, and during this month, we were involved in many different things, more practical, and really stimulating. We worked for an exhibition to build in one of the spaces in the office and we did it by ourselves! Furthermore, we worked for some competitions and for some booklet about the project made by the office!
And for the rest, keep reading my last report!
08/01 – 31/01
After all the efforts put into the project we worked last months, during these weeks we changed totally approach and we worked for an exhibition to build into a room in the office.
At the beginning, we organized the room and we prepared all the models and the furniture to show. Afterwards, we started understanding how to build the exhibition. It concerned an exhibition already existent in the office. Is made of several pieces of wood in different length organized in a way that the empty spaces among them become squares of different sizes. What we made is to adapt these panel in wood as a wall to fill with different materials, pictures and videos in order to get different “experiences”. To make it real, we worked before in digital, taking dimension and drawing everything related to the wall. And after this, armed with the drill machine, hammer and lots of energies, we started to build, move, and set up the whole wall. After this, we set up al the models and the furniture using the wall as a background.
It has been really interesting this for me because we understood several issues we can meet in construction, related to the gaps lo leave between different materials in order to avoid cracks and all the problems concerning the small scale.
The next week, my last week, I worked more in an urban concept for the first phase of a competition. I work more in research and concept about a new city development, before in 2d and after in 3D.
And after this last drops, with a big baggage of experience on the back, my period for this Erasmus for young entrepreneur is over.
Thanks for your attention on reading my reports during this last months and live your Erasmus experiences to the fullest!
Enjoy,
Denny
